Our industry is incredibly volatile – change happens rapidly and is frequently unexpected.

If you look back a few years when I worked for Xbox Live, no one could have predicted how successful the Xbox 360’s dashboard would be as a platform for really innovative advertising that then led to many marketing opportunities with Kinect. 

And now with the new Xbox One, Microsoft have deprioiritised original content advertising in the Xbox experience – this just goes to show how unpredictable online marketing can be.
